Key Responsibilities:

The core purpose of this role is to manage and implement a safe, disciplined, and fun swimming program while promoting the physical development and growth of our little ones through Physical Education.

  • Instruction & Technique: Teach all age groups and their different levels of swimming. Develop student ability across the four swimming strokes: Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, and Butterfly.
  • Feedback: Ability to correct swimmers’ techniques and provide constructive feedback in a positive manner.
  • Safety Management: Ensure safe, disciplined, and fun pool management implementation.
  • Upkeep: Ensure the Outstanding upkeep of pool maintenance, including water quality and swimming equipment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to serve, support, and inspire the team and participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Administration: Competence in using Word/Excel for evaluations, reports, and comments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Functional Skill: Excellent swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques.
  • Certification: Must have Completed LST level 1 and above (Life Saving Teacher) and a Valid First Aid qualification.
  • Compliance: Must provide Police Clearance.
  • Qualities: Must be 100% Reliable, 100% Trustworthy and Loyal , and a Team player.
  • Communication: Great communicator (written and language) in the English language.
  • Maintenance: Must have 1-3 years experience in pool maintenance.

Nice to Have: Valid Driver’s License/Own Transport , Swim SA registered , Ability to plan lessons , and Computer literacy.
